We were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant and were not disappointed. The service was top notch, as were the portions themselves and the dishes we ordered. It was windy and a little cold in the evening and the restaurant couldn't offer us a blanket, but the staff found a way out: the waiter brought me a warm sweater and we were able to have dinner in comfort. It was by far the most delicious pizza in Europe that we have tasted. Highly recommended!

This was a lovely place to eat and the pizza was excellent although pricey. I suppose we were also paying for the location which happens in other places too. Disappointed that when we ordered drinks our daughter was not allowed to have tap water! First timei have encountered this in Croatia. A top tip I would give to the two waiters we encountered is, ‘smile and be friendly when you serve people’. Everyone else we have encountered in this beautiful country have been so lovely.

Coming from NYC, where pizza is practically a religion, it’s hard to be impressed—even in Europe. But Piazza Grande in Fažana, Croatia? It doesn’t just hold its own—it stands out. The atmosphere is nothing short of cinematic. Imagine the warm orange haze of a Parisian evening, cast over ivory limestone streets that feel carved from a dream. It’s the kind of setting where time slows, where conversation flows, and where pizza becomes something more than food—it becomes memory. The pizza itself? Impossibly good. Crisped just right, the dough carries the flavor of tradition and fire. The sauce has soul. It may be the best I’ve had outside of one very hush-hush spot in Italy—and that’s saying something. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a taste of the real thing in an ambiance that elevates every bite. You come for the food, but you stay for the feeling. And if you’re doing it right, the night ends with a rakija toast and a sky full of stars. Bravo, Piazza Grande. We’ll be back.

We sat outside (a group of 5 people and 2 dogs). We did not have to wait for our table but more people kept coming and the outside of the restaurant was completely full. The waiting time is about average. The food - we had three pizzas was actually very tasty. We asked the waiter to bring us extra plates so we could share the pizzas and unfortunately, he forgot to do so. Overall the experience was pleasant and we'd come again :)

Pizzas are amazing. Crust is perfect, ingredients awesome. Lady host who I presume is owner was delightful. Perfect service. Super mellow and comfortable atmosphere amidst Fažana city square "Piazza Grande". Interior is nice and comfy, decorated in medieval manner, exterior patio is spacious, with nice retro wooden tables, romantic table lights. Such a nice place to enjoy a nice meal. Make sure you check it out if you find yourself in Fažana.
